Organizing your day and completing your tasks without DISTRACTIONS becomes a daily challenge. It is often extremely difficult to concentrate and be effective with your cell phone, noise, other pending tasks—in short, anything that gets in the way of your concentration and your work.
Many techniques have been developed, and we have shared some of them with you. The latest was the “Two-Minute Rule”, which helped you generate effective times with great productivity results.
Today, we want to show you another rule, which was developed in the 1980s (although it is more than 20 years old, it is still valid) and helps those who use it to optimize their time and make the most of their most productive moments of the day.
How does the Pomodoro Technique work?
It’s very simple: the goal is to complete as many tasks as possible in the shortest amount of time, while maintaining a high level of concentration and taking advantage of the fact that your brain is rested.
The process is as follows: you have 25 minutes to complete a task, free from distractions. That means goodbye to your cell phone, goodbye to email, goodbye to conversations, etc.
The creator of this technique recommends using a timer, so you will have an alarm each time your time has run out. He used a tomato-shaped kitchen timer (hence the name of this technique).
Currently, you can use apps that are designed for this or the timer on your cell phone.
There are also web applications that can be very helpful, such as this one: https://tomato-timer.com/
In short, you can arrange your 25 minutes and measure them as you like. The point is that you can test whether this is a technique that works for you.
