WhatsApp Business: the Messaging Service Will Now be a Business Tool.

  • The service is available in some countries and can currently only be downloaded on Android devices.

After months of rumors about WhatsApp’s intention to offer a service dedicated to businesses, it is now a reality.

Registration is very similar to that of a regular account, so you must designate a phone number exclusively for your business account.

 

Although at first glance its interface is very similar to the original version of the service, there are some options specially designed for this business version, which can be configured from the “Business Settings” option.
A. Company information
You can write a description that generates interest in your customers or with key information: schedules, contact methods. You can also include the address of your business, along with a map for the location.
B. Special messages
You can configure a welcome message that will automatically reach customers the first time they send you a message. Similarly, you can enable an “unavailable” message when they write to you outside of office or customer service hours.
C. Analytics
Like any other social network, we can know how many messages we send, receive, and how many messages we read. Currently, these are very simple metrics; perhaps in the future, users will have more access to specific data from their customers.
